Lost me there
Updated: Apr 30, 2019
I feel your weight
holding me down.
My face against tiles
pressed on a cold slab
I'm all too familiar with
because I've tried time and again
to warm it with my breath.
I like this pain
but the hands of time know:
tempus fugit.
You want me there
while our answers materialize
but I have found cracks
in the pavement
to seep through, quietly.
Oozing from the ceiling,
I find a new home
while you find yourself
facing the coldness
of your own strategies
of angry rationality.
E stavota a'mu mi dassi ca paci mia.
